Your Free Chance to Learn How to Forecast Markets Using Technical Analysis
There are two camps of market analysts out there: the fundamental camp and the technical one. Fundamental analysts look at things like the GDP, unemployment, interest rates, etc. to make logical assumptions about where the stock market is going. Technical analysts use none of that. They look at the market's internals to gauge the trend: things like momentum, trend channels -- and yes, Elliott wave patterns. Well, this is your free chance to learn how they do it.

Technical Analysis
Charting or technical analysis is the use of numerical series generated by market activity, such as price and volume traded, to predict future trends in that market. The techniques can be applied to any market with a comprehensive price history. Technical analysis does not try to analyze the financial data of a company, such as cashflow, dividends, and projection of future dividends; that type of analysis is called fundamental analysis.

North Korea vs. South Korea -- Fundamental Analysis vs. Technical Analysis
Think about it: cable news channels are running 24/7 commentary as to what the first exchange of artillery fire in 50+ years on the Korean peninsula really "means," but they come to no conclusion. An Elliott Wave practitioner looks at a chart, then says "I recognize THAT reliable pattern," and presents subscribers with a road map for the future.
For Chris and other technical analysts, the benefit of the Wave Principle is its ability to identify a structure that can define forecasting and even trading decisions -- regardless of events in the news.
Which Works Best: GPS or Road Map? Part II: Reading the Wave Analysis Map
"The method I employ every day has been around since the 1930s, and it works as well as, if not better than, any newfangled technical analysis method for which you must buy some expensive computer software. My method is a form of technical analysis based on the Elliott Wave Principle, which Ralph N. Elliott worked out via hundreds of hand-drawn charts, well before the dawn of charting software..."

You Can Learn How to Forecast with Technical Analysis
"Forecasting and trading are two different skills. Forecasting may come after some study, whereas if you add the serious and heavy emotional trauma of trading real money, an individual may not be able to think so clearly. It is a different skill," says Robert Prechter. But it helps to have a good forecast based on solid technical analysis before trading.
Corn: Harvesting Ripe Elliott Waves
As a trader you follow one of two types of analysis: Technical or Fundamental, and while people will always argue over which is more accurate, "the proof is in the pudding" as they say. Fundamental analysis follows a simple enough rule: if incoming news is positive, the market in turn goes up and vice versa. But the problem is that the news lags the market and is too often contradictory.
